Ewa Telega
Ewa graduated with Honours in Piano Performance from the Academy of Music in Łòdź, Poland and received her Masters of Fine Arts Degree in Piano Performance from the University of California, Irvine. Ewa was invited to give a command performance for the leader of the Polish Solidarity Movement - Lech Wałęsa in Los Angeles in 2006.
An enthusiastic proponent of the piano music of Frederic Chopin, Ewa has performed his works in Poland, Switzerland, the US and Canada. Ewa Telega is also in demand as a collaborative pianist and served on the faculty of California State University, Los Angeles, Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Langley, BC as well as Columbia Bible College in Abbotsford, BC.
Ewa was born and raised in Łòdź, Poland. After graduating from the Academy of Music, she
immigrated to the United States and maintained a private teaching studio in Long Beach, California for over a decade. Now she resides in Abbotsford, Canada and is a member of the British Columbia Registered Music Teachers’ Association. Ewa teaches piano and theory to students ranging from beginner through advanced levels; her students participate in RCM exams, festivals, recitals and masterclasses.
A vivid performer and accompanist, Ewa frequently performs as a soloist or accompanist at various festivals and concerts in the Lower Mainland. She performed a harpsichord part of the Four Seasons by Vivaldi in the Calvin Dyck Soloist and Orchestra Concert in the Envision Twilight Concert Series in Mission Heritage Park, and also was invited to join the Vancouver Island Symphony Orchestra in the performance of Four Seasons in 2011. In November of 2013 Ewa joined pianist Betty Suderman in performance of two piano part of Brahms’ German Requiem with Valley Festival Singers. In October 2018, Ewa collaborated with Betty Suderman in performance of Mozart double piano concerto as featured artists in 2018 CSO Piano Extravaganza.
